About Us

Our team of researchers work across a range of sectors and have particular expertise in working with organisations who support and/or provide services for individuals, groups or areas with complex needs. We have completed projects with people who are, or have been:

  • engaged in the criminal justice system
  • victims of crime
  • affected by imprisonment
  • insecurely housed or living in marginalised neighbourhoods
  • educationally disadvantaged
  • facing significant financial hardship or struggling to cope with financial shocks
  • in emotional distress
  • forced to leave or who have left their country of origin

Research in this context can present a range of methodological and ethical challenges that we know well and have experience of addressing. We have expertise in engaging users of services and other partners into the research process and use innovative approaches to research wherever possible.
